1. Why do you make free tours?
Our free walking tours are organized by a team of young volunteers who want to share their love to Kyiv. Our aim is to give a warm welcome to everyone who comes to visit our city, to show the most interesting places of Kyiv and to tell foreigners about Ukrainian culture despite the budget. We are open and easy-going  folks that enjoy meeting new friends from all over the world. Our tours are similar to a walk with a friend, who is always cheerful, interesting and ready to help you! In case you like the tour, you are encouraged to tip your guide any sum affordable for you.

2. Are your tours really free?
Free Tours Ukraine is a private initiave started by us in order to provide an alternative for expensive private tours offered in Kyiv. Most of our volunteers are students and graduates who passionate about their city. Tours are free of charge. Nobody will make you pay for it. If you like our services and tours you can leave a dotation or tip in the end of the tours. As we are private project your donations are the best way to support us, so their are always welcome.

3. Who are the guides?
We are a team of young people who really love Kyiv, meeting new people and telling the history of our marvelous city. You can read more about our team in the Guides section. They have lived in Kyiv most of their lives and can tell you a lot of things not only about Kyiv, but also about Ukraine in general. They know plenty (if not all) about our history, culture, traditions etc. they are always ready to help with any general or practical questions you have about your staying in our country.

3. What sights can I see with free tours?
Our tour covers major sights in the city center. We start in the heart of our city, on the main square at 12 and at 4 p.m. We have two different routes which take you around all the major attractions of Kyiv. One tour lasts for about 3 hours, which is enough to show you the main pearls of Kyiv. Our exciting tour will take you around the most famous churches, cathedrals and monuments of the Ukrainian capital. You will see a marvelous park, administrative buildings and a lot of other wonderful places which you really must see.
During the first tour you will see some ancient sights like St.Sophia Cathedral and Golden Gates, souvenir street Andriivkiy Uzviz and Alley with Mosaic Cats.
The second tours covers political district of the city with Cabinet of Ministers, Parliament Building, Bridge of Lovers, House with Chimeras and Arch of Friendship.

4. Do you organize tours if  it is raining or snowing?
We are not afraid of any weather conditions. Snow or shine we would be there waiting for you. If the weather requires it, we might even bring an additional umbrella to make your tour around the city as pleasant as possible. We also consider changes to the route and duration considering guests’ comfort. We make tours at both, -10 °C and +35 temparatures.

5. What if I am your only tourist?
The number of tourists is never a problem for us. If you are the only visitor, then you would be lucky to have your own private free tour with our guide who will show you the beautiful city of Kyiv.

6. What if I come late for the tour?
Our tours start at 12 and 4 p.m. every day and the tours themselves usually starts around 10-15 minutes later (12:15 and 16:15) because we are waiting  for all people to come. In case you still miss us, you might catch up with us on the way. Or call us to find out the group location for the moment.

7. What if I have to leave before the end?
You shouldn’t be worried about that. We won't be insulted; we understand that you may have really urgent things to do. Just please let us know so that we don't think you got lost or something. Besides, you can also join the rest of the tour some other time.

8. Do you stop for any breaks?
The tour includes quite a lot of walking and we understand that you may get tired during it. That’s why we make stops in front of the sights we are showing. There are also places where we stop to take photos and thus you can have a little rest. There are a couple of places where you can take a seat while listening to our stories. Please let us know if you have to make a stop but keep in mind that we cannot keep the whole group waiting too much. In case of raining or heat we can also stop in several cafes for a hot or cold drink by request of the group. Your guide will give you reccommendation.

9. Do I need to make a reservation?
No, you don’t need any reservations. That's one of the best things about Kyiv free tours. You just have to show up at the meeting spot and meet one of our team members with a flag Free Tours. Every day, despite any bad weather or public holidays.

10. What if I cannot find a guide at a set time?
Most of the tours our guides show up to the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour and wait for the people for 15 minutes after the beginning, but if somehow you cannot find Blue Flag Free Tours just give us a call ( Tel +38 066 85 185 58, Office: +38 099 250-03-55)

11. What is the average tip?
All tips and dotations are voluntary. They depend on your personal will to support our project and have no restricts. Any tip will be appreciated, so we do not set any standards or limits. Nobody will be offended if you don’t want to leave any tip at all. But of course, the good tip is a prove of high quality of our services.

12. Do you organize other city tours?
Free tours headquarter located in Tourist Info Center on Khreschatyk 19A. There you can find out about other options offered by our company.
